Job Description Highlights:
The Company is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support Freeport, TX site Utilities and Infrastructures units. 
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will effectively provide technical support to Root Cause Failure Analyses, monitor Preventative Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance (PM/Pd.M.) programs, support the Mechanical Integrity inspection process to ensure timely repairs, troubleshoot complex mechanical equipment problems including proposing and implementing sustainable solutions/work processes. 

  • Provide Tier 2 troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units on equipment reliability including emergency work reviews 
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems 
  • Participate in the Bad Actor Program and create action plans for improving reliability 
  • Support reliability processes to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve Asset Effectiveness (Bad Actor Management, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap, etc) 
Qualifications Highlights : MANDATORY
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical) 
  • 3+ years of experience working in either chemical/petrochemical or refinery operation, working with; rotating and fixed equipment, centrifugal pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels (including heat exchangers), atmospheric storage tanks, positive displacement pumps, relief devices and compressors of various design.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes and maintenance best practices
  • General knowledge of mechanical equipment design and understanding of maintenance and reliability activities associated with process equipment, such as centrifugal pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels (including heat exchangers), atmospheric storage tanks, positive displacement pumps, relief devices, and compressors of various designs.
  • Broad-based, hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with manufacturing reporting systems, specifically using SAP.
