The Role:
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will join one of NS&I’s agile delivery teams, working on National Security projects. You will play a key role in implementing continuous automated testing as part of a CI/CD lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize a wide range of technologies, specializing in open-source tools and frameworks.
- Conduct manual and automated software testing.
- Work within DevOps and agile methodologies, including TDD, BDD, ATDD, and continuous testing through CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and implement automated test frameworks for UI and API testing.
- Use technologies such as Selenium, Cypress.io, Webdriver.io, Playwright, Cucumber, Robot Framework, Serenity BDD, and Rest Assured.
- Contribute to the QA team by bringing forward new ideas and improving test frameworks and processes.
- Perform non-functional testing, including security, performance, accessibility, and operational acceptance testing (OAT), using a variety of tools.
We are looking for experienced Senior Test Engineers with a passion for manual and automated testing and a background in working with complex solutions. The ideal candidate will:

- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for high-level security clearance. This requires:
- British citizenship.
- Permanent residence in the UK for the last five years.
- Active clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates must already hold DV clearance
or have the necessary security clearance in place before applying.
